Benvenuti! Welcome to my Italian website for Donovan Middle School.
This is my 11th year teaching in the Utica City School District. During my years at Union-Endicott High School (Class of '96), I was an exchange student in Bolzano (ITALIA) and Lyon [Civrieux d'Azergues] (FRANCE). I also studied for 1 year at the "Università degli Studi, G. D'Annunzio" in both Pescara and Chieti, Italia. I focused on both Italian & French Language/Literature and History of the Abruzzo Region.
I graduated in 2000 from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY with a B.A. in Italian. While at Nazareth, I earned the awards of Secondary Student Teacher of the Year and Italian Student of the Year. In 2004, I graduated once again from UAlbany; however this time with a M.A. in French Education.
During the Summer of 2009, I was accepted into taking the Summer Institute of the Mohawk Valley Writing Project. I learned so much in that class that I can't wait to share with all of you what I learned. As of Summer 2010, I am now officially a Teaching Consultant for MVWP.
