In 1995 I lived on Cottage Place across from MWPI.(I was a student at Munson.) After that, I worked in locations including Ludlow, Vermont; Telluride, Colorado; Galway, Ireland; The Hudson Valley; and Skaneateles, N.Y.. After backpacking throughout Western Europe and the USA, I earned a degree in Literature from New Paltz; I later went to graduate school at LeMoyne College to become a teacher. I bought a big old farm house (a former "safe house" on the Underground Railroad!) on the border of Madison and Oneida counties. Ten years after leaving,I returned to Utica to be a teacher! I taught at three other schools before DMS, and I'm happy to say I love it here.
It is important to remember that the ELA grade policy includes a variety of percentages coming from different categories. These weights change with the marking periods. Students regularly receive progress reports in class from me. These reports show all completed assignments, grades earned and current average; Each student is always aware of how they are currently doing. The fastest way to communicate with me is via email.(cwebb@uticaschools.org) If you call the ELA office (368-6575), it may take a day or two for me to receive your message. If you are able to email, I can reply to your message within hours.
